Favorite drink mix for water while on the trail?
Sometimes my pack gets heavy and I use my trekking poles to hold it up against the tree so I can put it on has anybody else ever tried to do something like this and if so what are your methods upholding your pack up against a tree so that you can put it on?
All packed to hit the trail on Wednesday. First time the hubby is coming in a long time. So it took longer to pack and Everything he has is seriously extra large 🙄. While I feel like a BA when I pack light he seems to feel carrying the fridge and kitchen sink is the badge of honor. How does taking your significant other change what you do pre trail and on ??

What do you guys think about mountain bikes on hiking/foot path trails? A local trail group wants to submit a proposal to turn several foot path trails into mountain biking trails also. Personally I hate the idea for many reasons. What's your take?
Are there any other packs besides Osprey that are even worth looking at? Edit: Maybe I could have worded my question a different way, but whatever. I’m in the market for a new pack, recommendations on other brands besides Osprey that are worth the time to look at.
Is there a noticeable difference in packed volume between down that is 950 vs 800? Does the 950 pack down a lot smaller or negligible?
