What People Are Saying
Emory is the most humble, level-headed, non-click baity, and underappreciated backpacking voice out there. Extremely interesting and diverse topics of conversation blended with an excellent, well-balanced and respectful delivery.

About the Show
After returning from the Pacific Crest Trail in September 2017, I wanted to stay connected to the hiking community and continue learning from other hikers and backcountry experts. I was to use “backpacking” as a foundation for other topics including gear, skills, stories, social issues, conservation, and everything in between. If it’s related to backpacking, I would cover it and more.
I taught myself what I needed to know and began reaching out to anyone willing to lend me their time for a conversation. Over 160 episodes later, I’m more passionate than ever and I hope you find these episodes to be a source of inspiration, encouragement, education, and entertainment.
